If you want to permanently close or delete your account, start by clearing all the payments that you may have. Here are the steps that you’ll need to follow after that:

·        Go to your email account and hit “Compose Message”

·        Write in the subject area “Request to Delete My Account”

·        Address your email to customersupport@greendot.com

·        Create the body of your email, where you state the reason why you wish to close your account.

·        Mention them to erase your contact information, if it’s possible for them to do so.

·        Hit “Send Email.”

Once someone from the customer support staff reads your email, they will close your account. You may also make the request by traditional mail, at California 91117, or P.O. Box 5100, Pasadena.

Keep in mind that while a canceled account may be reactivated, there is a chance that a deleted account may not be. Consider whether you want to use the cash app card again in the future or not.

 

How to reactivate a cash app Card

Depending on the circumstances, you may also reactivate your cash app Card. This can be done when the account has only been closed, not entirely deleted. Here are the steps that you need to take:

·        Take out your card sticker and look for the toll-free number to contact the company. Get in touch with customer service by using that number.

·        Once you get in contact with them, add the number on the credit card.

·        For security reasons, you’ll be asked a number of questions. Answer them in order to reactivate your account.

Once you are done with these steps, if the process was done properly, you should receive an email of confirmation. Bear in mind that this will only occur if your email has not been permanently deleted, including data. Also, remember that if the fees get to $0, then cash app will automatically delete your account.
